my ex girlfriend's happy hour birthday party is after work today.
i'd like to go home though, because a) i have an important fantasy football draft, b) my parents are away for the weekend and i have the home to myself and c) i really just don't want to go because i don't like hanging out with her too much or it gets weird.
my problem is she's part of my group of friends and all my other buddies will be there. so i feel bad not going. but i really would rather drink by myself then submit myself to hanging out with people who i've grown apart from.
i'm leaning towards not going.
also, i had an interview with fox news today and it went really well. i told my job i had a doctors appointment. i've been where i am for only about 2 months now, and i'd feel bad leaving, but i really am not happy with what i'm doing here and want to get back into the journalism field. i shouldn't feel so bad, right?
thing is, a lot of stuff has been dumped on me, so i'd feel bad leaving them with all of it. but i really don't know if i can do it to the capacity it needs to be done.
EDIT: the executive vice president of fox news wants to phone interview me monday a.m. i was going to meet with him today but he was too busy and i needed to get back here. i think i've got this job locked up.

But if your blue days are increasing in frequency, pay attention to what is going on in and around you. Are you...
* Letting go? * Gaining weight?
* Yelling at the kids?
* Watching TV constantly?
* Sleeping in later?
* Withdrawing from people? * Dropping out of organizations?
* Spending a lot of time with your thoughts?
* Drinking more than usual or drinking alone?

you are a good man, c_b.
really, good answer, you past the test. You are ready to move on.
do you really think so? i took the emphasis of typing three "bads" at the end of his post as a subconscious way of convincing himself not to get with her.

i'm not attracted to her like i once was. she's still a very good looking girl, so of course there is a minor bit of attraction, but of course that happens when you drink 15 beers.

Question: why would you want to work for Fox News?
