Its been YEARS since I built a honest-to-goodness fort. You know, the kind of fort you would build indoors on rainy days using blankets, couch cushions, sheets, and sleeping bags...
Well, tonight I will be building a fort, with the help from my cousin, Balki. We've talked about the blueprints already, and we decided to set up shop in the TV room. Our initial plan included covering the entire TV area and putting under canopy, but the logistics of it probably won't work out. Instead we are opting for a smaller fort that will section off the computer area of the TV room.
The basic plan is to drink beer and construct. It shouldn't be a lengthy process, and I really don't think my ability to build a fort has waned with time...I bet its just like riding a bike.
Anyway, stay tuned to this thread, and we'll post pictures in real time to show the progress of the fort. My ultimate goal I'd like to accomplish with this fort is to keep old man McIllhenny out, and this fort should do the trick.

dont steal my idea please.......My wife and I travel alot...for the last year we have been making forts in the hotel rooms..taking all sorts of weird, artsy pictures, and leaving them at the front desk when we leave..we put the room back to normal after we leave of course.....The book will hopefully hit the shelves in a 2 or 3 years

you just wait and see, pal. You'll see, my cousin doesn't lie and neither do I, we're gonna build a fort and then you're gonna be real jelous while you're parting it up at a wedding with your nice hair cut.

you really should use some corduroy in the construction. keeps you warm and protected.
