Okay, I'm just a country gal and besides the school bus when I was a kid, I've never used any kind of public transportation. Next Wednesday, I have to go to the hospital for an ultrasound, but Billy can't really take off work and I haven't been able to find anyone else to help me get there (it's an hour and a half drive one-way). So I called this taxi-type place in the yellow pages and they're supposed to send someone to take me to my appointment. I'm gonna be in a car with a complete stranger for 3 hours!!! (round-trip)
Am I supposed to not talk to this person or is it okay to chat? Am I supposed to tip him/her? If so, how much? I don't wanna look stupid when I get in, so do I get in the front or back seat? I seriously don't know!

you can chat, see what the driver does.
i'd tip like 5 to 10 percent maybe. it may be really expensive. i don't know the rates around there.
and you should get in the backseat.

I'm not sure what kind of taxi drivers you have there, but the ones out here are n-u-t-s. If it was me, I wouldn't talk to them unless they started talking to me...but you see, I'm kinda shy.
You should tip the driver, but I can't remember how much (10% ??). If I was you, I would sit in the back, it would be safer.

moving out of Oklahoma would be a blessing for you and your child
No way, jose! I love our good ole' slow country life. Why would it be a blessing? I think I'd go nuts living in some big city or something. I couldn't even stand living in the little bitty one-gas-station, 17-churches town of Maud with my sister for two months.

i really believe you love where you live..but why does your location say oklahell then?
Because just like anyone else anywhere else, it does get a little boring at times. I dunno. Just a nickname me and my friends had for it when were kids. I do love it, and to say that I'd be better off or happier somewhere else...well, would any of you in big cities be happy waaaay out in the middle of nowhere like I am?

I don't really talk to taxi drivers unless I have a questions. But sometimes they'll talk to you. Just go with the flow.

I made the mistake of talking to a taxi driver in Hollywood once. He started raving about how hot a lot of the tranvestite hookers were. Then he finished with, "They're men, though."
