probably the worst part about growing up. you all become different people as you grow and dont really enjoy each others company any more.

things and persons change. i hate it. it seems like it was just yesterday that i was watching homerpalooza, staying up all night watching shitty tv and movies, and eating as many hot pockets a humanly possible. but now he has a wife and kid and works constantly. i have school and work constantly as well.

some of the best times of my life.

Hmm, I've slowly isolated myself over the years, so I guess I kinda know what you mean.

We're still good friends (he was almost my brother), but you can never get back those days of playing Panzer Dragoon and Virtua Cop until 4 AM, subsisting on nothing but Cokes and Swiss Rolls.

Shit, those were the days.

my cousin Jeff and I have been best friends all our lives. We still do the stuff we did when we were kids. Why, just 2 weeks ago, we built a fort in my living room:

I grew up with my cousin living next door to me. We still do stuff that we did when we were young too. We still go fishing together. And just last week he got me a bag of pot.

i've known my best friend since i was 7 years old. we still hang out once in a while, but with kids and her living about 30 min away it's not so easy anymore. but we're planning a trip together with our families in november so that should be fun.

I'm still pretty tight with most of my childhood friends, but thats probably because we are all in a state of arrested development.

I have one friend whom i've known since we were 5, we grew up together and played in high school bands together, and he's kinda turned into a poseur lately and i can't talk to him anymore, not for more than a few minutes anyways. He moved to the big city (Toronto) and became trendy and 'urban' and it pissed a lot of people off. Oddly enough i moved to the same big city a year earlier and it changed me none. He's come back down a bit recently but its still not that same as it used to be.

sadly, i have something in common with clark and balki in that my cousin is also my best friend.

hes married and has his third kid on the way, we still play tiger woods every now and then, still laugh at the stupid shit he has done and i have done.

stinkbutt is my other friend, ive known her since about 8th grade or so, though we never talked one on one until a year after highschool, i dont even think we said hi in highschool.

we both worked at pizzahut and she needed a day off but was scheduled, i liked bigger paychecks and so i worked for her. she said that she was grateful that i did that and it started a most wonderful friendship with her.

tisha is another gal i worked with and was two years behind me in highschool, though i havent seen her nearly as much as before she got married, i can talk to her right now and it would be like i just talked to her a day ago.

scooter is my gearhead friend. he has fixed my car(s) more times than i can count and i have, ive told him that me and his wife bumped uglies the night of his wedding, and a few other nights. one day it may be true. his wife loves me, cause my sense of humor is more intune with hers than theirs are. which is funny, cause i have known them both for well over ten years, and i dont think they have ever been apart

eric would be my other really close friend, but he got his masters and took a job with adelphia, so hes only around maybe once a month. the guy is tighter with his wallet than i am

I just went the wedding of my childhood best friend's sister. I've known him since we were 5 years old but like someone else has said we have definitely drifted apart to the point where we don't have much to talk about anymore. It is kinda sad but part of growing up. *listens to Ed's cover of Growing up*

My best friend from childhood left to go to uni, i only really see him now at christmas time if I'm lucky, we've kinda drifted apart now tho and it's not the same as it used to be.

Them were the days, sat outside drinking Stella and cookin burgers on the bbq.

I know how you feel. I hung out with my best friend from about 5 grade through the summer after senior year in highschool for the first time in like 2 or 3 months yesterday. We've just grown apart, and he's kinda turned into a doucebag. I can only stand to hang around him for maybe about 5 hours every couple months anymore, because I get tired of hearing "oh man, I got so drunk this one time" or "I fucked so many girls" or "I do alot of drugs"

It gets old really fast, because I dont drink, dont do drugs and I am not the kind of guy that tries to fuck every girl that I see. So yeah, I try to stay away even though I miss the good times of playing video games all night and just chilling and doing whatever.

My best friend who I've known since I was 3, I'm 32 now, will be my best man at my wedding in a few weeks. Last year I flew to PA and took him to PJ in Reading. We both still love the same music and sports. He can't spell much better than he did when he was 3 but I love him the same. In fact my present from him for being in his wedding had my nickname spelled wrong.
