I hope everyone is helping out with the relief effort for those who have lost everything in New Orleans and along the gulf shores of Mississippi.
I cleaned out my closet last night and had four garbage bags full of clothes I don't wear anymore and some of them still had the tags on them
I'm going to go through some more things this evening. So, even if you don' t have money to donate just clean out your closet of stuff you don' t wear or need anymore. A lot of people just had the clothes on their back and that's it. I know the red cross is giving out debit cards with money on it, but that really doesn't that far for families who have lost everything.

I work for a organization at the Kentucky Horse Park and the Director of the Horse Park has organized this here. They are also of course collecting a lot of horse and dog/cat food and vet supplies as well.
I would check your newspaper or tv news stations in your area to find out where you can donate items.

I'm not sure. We have bins around here to deposit old clothes in. I wonder if you can designate your items for the relief fund, or whether the just get put back into the community.
