I've been wanting to do this for a little while. This week I'm finally selling the ol' Strat and picking up a nice shiny Les Paul, as well as a Martin acoustic. Yeah, so I'm throwing well over a thousand and a half into this shit...it's worth it! (plus I'm waiting on the car or bike, which I've been saving for, so I've got a bit of room to spend).

Who else plays and what have ya got?

You're a fool if you're gonna sell a strat.

It's not exactly the greatest model bro. It's an old Affinity series. I'm aiming for something better.

Then you should get the Yngwie Malmsteen strat.

I play a 40th Anniversary American Strat that a dear friend gave me. I love it. Though I would like a double-cutaway Paul as well, or a Gold Top.

Yeah, I was thinking of that actually. I've been wanting a Les for a while though. I'm definitely gonna get a better Strat down the road, but for now, I want my Les. What do you play man?

Like what kind of music? Just rock. Nothing out of the ordinary...I just try and write cool riffs that don't suck. But I've played bass for a number of years, I'm trying to get my chops down on guitar, but I'm still kinda faking it at this point. I need to practice more but it's hard with a 2 year old running around. :D

Yeah, it's a nice guitar. I like the maple fretboard, and the action is really sweet on it. I don't know, I'd like to put some new pickups in it too but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

Yeah, when I finally do get a better Strat, I'm going with a maple fretboard as well. I've got rosewood on the Affinity. And I've learned to hate this guitar after playing some top of the line Strats at Guitar Center. lol.

My brother-in-law has a nice Martin. He put one of these in it, and it sounds really nice plugged in now too.

Awesome shit guys.

I can't wait to pick this shit up. I just wish I had more money so I could get a nice Strat too...but I'm just gonna save the rest for some other big future purchases.

How much are you getting for your Affinity Strat?

I have the same strat and am thinkin of selling it too (or destroying it at one of my band's shows haha)

that was my first guitar, i'll miss it.

My next one (that i still have) is a Yamaha (not sure the model) that i bought from my friend for 100 bucks, i loved it when i got it cause it has a floyd rose tremolo, 24 frets, and humbuckers. I gave it some style when i put these bullet hole decals on them, my friend made the joke that the guitar was all shot up like Kurt Cobain so the name Kurt kinda stuck to the guitar hehe.

After that i bought a cheap 200 dollar Mitchell acoustic guitar (one of the better sounding cheapo acoustics if you ask me, they cost like 100 now) which i love but am wanting to upgrade to a better acoustic badly.

Finally i have my most prized gueetar. An Aria Pro II guitar. I was in guitar center and saw it there from a far like a beacon in the night, it has a shiny green with black body, gold tuners/humbuckers/bridge/etc and sounds amazing. Throughout the half a year i have had it i have talked to like 3 different people in the local music community about it and they all said they really wanted that guitar when it was on sale before i bought it, i guess i got lucky hehe, but i love it though i really wanted a Les Paul type guitar but didn't really want to get an actual Les Paul if you know what i mean, so this Aria is just perfect for me
