Does anyone have any major drug problems? Though I've tried just about every drug under the sun, I used to be a pretty major pothead, which didn't really bother me. Now the drugs of choice are alcohol and pharmaceuticals, and I can never seem to get away from either. Codeine and valium mainly on the pill side, but I'll take or snort anything I can get, especially painkillers. I also do alot of ecstasy and coke (and occasionaly mushrooms) socially, but I don't really consider that as much of an addiction.

The only things that really bother me are the booze and the pills. Sometimes, it seems I can't really cope without them. Don't get me wrong, I keep both under control and I don't go overboard, but usually if I'm completely sober I'm really depressed. Needless to say, this severely intereferes with the relationship of every person I've been involved with, even if we share addictions.

But anyway, this isn't a pity me or feel sorry for me or even help me thread. This is a thread where I want others to share their addictions, if they feel comfortable doing so. Or to talk about addiction in general. So, umm......your turn. Go.

For a year or two I was a pretty full blown alcoholic, but that was a long time ago :)

That's a fantastic show. I've seen it a few times, and I watched some of the victims last night on Larry King. I have to admit, if my friends/family staged an intervention for me, it would be pretty fucking scary. And I'd probably be pretty fucking pissed. For quite awhile. But I'm sure it'd do me alot of good.

My mom and step dad are both long time recovering drug addicts/alcoholics. My brother was addicted to all kinds of stuff, which eventually lead to him killing himself. Dont take your drug addictions lightly. I know you dont want this to be a "get help" thread, but it might be inevitable.

I'm addicted to reality shows & cheez-its. I kicked my cheez-it habit about a year ago. I was up to a big box of cheez-its a week. But I still have cravings and try to avoid the cheez-it aisle whenever I go to King Soopers.

Oh yeah and Survivor starts tonight. w00t w00t!!

I shouldn't take them lightly. And I don't. I realize it's very serious and I don't need Red Mosquito people to tell me that. Hmm, I'm sort of regretting starting this thread now. =/

I'm very sorry to hear about your family, especially your brother. That's absolutely horrible.

Heh. Cheez-its are a terrible, terrible drug. And to think they market them to children!

Don't get your cheez-its confused, man. There not like Flintstone's or anything.

I've had a few push-pops, I'll admit. Getting close to the edge.

You may have kicked the cheez-it addiction, but the reality show addiction is much, much worse, you need help. Don't deny it.
