I'm not sure what to think. I didn't know that cats howled? Did it say where she got this cat from (I didn't see anything mentioned)? I've never heard of a cat like that before. It's very, very odd.
When I was about 12, we adopted a cat and about 2-3 weeks after we brought her home she started to pee in the corner of the dining room. I guess that the people who lived there before us had a cat, and our cat had smelled it and didn't like it. I guess that she was marking her teritory or something. It got so bad that after a while we took her back to the animal shelter where we got her. I have no idea what happened to her after that.

My cat howls. Usually, I associate it with the arrival of a female cat outside the house. Besides, you've never heard cats mating outside? Freaky.
Why did they keep him fenced in? Why not just let him go?
