What it is: The RM Interview Series is a way to get to know other members of the board and hopefully bring the community together a bit. Every few days or so, a new interview will start and an old interview will be locked and archived. Please try to keep this thread only about the person being interviewed. When it's your turn, you're welcome to talk about yourself as much as you want.

How it works: All questions and answers will stay in this stickied thread; all questions are optional however. When interest in the current person begins to die down, they will then choose (via PM) the next person to be interviewed. The person will also PM a mod to get the new interview started.

This is supposed to be fun! Hopefully there will be a mix of both serious and humorous questions (and answers!)

so, you're done with your first semester of college.

What was the best thing so far about college life compared to high school life?
Do anything you regret?
Miss anything about high school?

the freedom, really. also, no real cliques and shit, everybody is way cooler. It's just a much better environment. to be honest I didn't have the best high school experience, I had a falling out with my then-best friends right at the beginning of my sophomore year that kind of fucked me up for while. Plus I was kind of a dork. But shit's cool now :nice:

since being in college, not really. Not getting laid, yet, maybe. Except it doesn't bother me that much.

Nothing I can think of. Except maybe knowing my teachers on a more personal level. I had some cool teachers in high school.

Why do you think my interview was such a miserable failure?

do you think that the lack of posting and influx of new people taking over the posting have anything to do with the downfall of the interviews of what could have been classic interviews?

Probably. I don't expect this to get beyond 5 pages, honestly. I wasn't really a GD regular during the era of "classic interviews" though, so I don't exactly know what one entails.

It's more of just the fear of the unknown. I don't think I was scared, more or less just nervous of what to expect. To be honest, the first couple of days are pretty weird, but after that it's all smooth sailing. Get to know the people in your dorm, everybody's in the same situation as you for the most part, so making friends won't be hard

Journalism.

If it has to be school related, probably my senior year calculus class. The best teacher I ever had, plus one of my really good friends was in that class. To be honest I didn't hang out with that many people I actually went to school with, more people I worked with.

That it's somewhere in Europe. :?

Jammer91 had the last interview, and was banned in the middle of it. Somehow it was decided that me, Orph, and lefty would have the next three interviews.

Cool. Similarly, check out the music in my signature ;)

CD's, gift cards, clothes, an external hard drive.

I don't have a bass guitar. We should start some sort of cross-continental shit, like I'll email (INTERNETZ!) you my shit and you can lay down some hardcore lows. Vice versa. There's a band that did this. Can't think of them. Probably more than one band, really.

This is a tough question. I don't think I've ever had an idol in the traditional sense, but I do look up to most of my friends. When I got my job in the fall of 05 I met some really great people. I guess they'd be the closest.

song: "Sister Ray" by the Velvet Underground. Without question, really, which is surprising considering the amount of music I listen to. It's just the biggest, nastiest motherfucker of a song that I've ever come across and I love every second of it.

movie: This is much tougher. I'm definitely not a movie buff, though I certainly enjoy a good film. This could be any number of things, really. I guess it could be Pulp Fiction if I want to give a boring answer, it could also be Donnie Darko. I don't know.

book: I don't read nearly as much as I'd like to, but I can say that I've never enjoyed reading anything as much as the Harry Potter series. So yeah, it's probably that. Super gay, but whatever. My last year of English class actually brought me a few very good books that I enjoyed a lot. The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseni (I think that was his name) was an amazing novel, and I really liked this weird little play called Waiting For Godot by...uh...you know, whoever wrote that.

haven't you ever wondered how you would fare in a bout with anyone? One of the things growing up for me is learning how to fight to stand up for myself. I had an older brother and he was pretty much the only person I had to fight with.

Not really. I honestly don't see myself in any situation where there'd be anything to gain from a fist fight.
