We just got a new fancy I-CAT machine at work, and my office is now the old finance office. It's super sensitive, so I actually have the use a long velcro strap and strap the patients' heads into the headrest. Then close a little 'gate' to keep them in the seat. Think roller-coaster, only less fun. I've only been working out of here since Thursday. The old finance officer retired, before then, this was her office since before chocolate was invented. The door was always open.
So... no one told me that the door is actually BROKEN. We still haven't gotten the new one w/ a lead window to block the X-Rays, so I usually pull it half way closed while I'm taking a scan.
So. . . today, it pulls ALL the way closed. I didn't think anything of it, until the little light went off and I tried to get back in.
It was locked. And there is no key.
I totally strapped a 12 year old girl into a $100,000 I-CAT machine, and locked her in the room. I had to bang on the door and ask her to un-strap herself and come unlock the door.
