I KNOW I'm going to get shit for this when I get home. Help me work up an AWESOME defense.

Last night, my boyfriend and I went to a concert and out to dinner. I drove. I dropped him off at his house around 8ish, then went home to change into my jammies and wash my face and stuff. His street was completely out of parking, and he only lives a few blocks away, so I parked in the spot in front of my house and planned to walk back over to his house.

As I was on my way back out the door, my brother pulled up in the driveway in my mom's van. He says, "Good, you're leaving, I need that spot." I let him know I was walking, not taking my car, and he flips out about needing the spot because he wants to work on his car. (A piece of shit that's even MORE of a piece of shit after he gave a friend of a friend $1200 to trick it out, and the guy took off w/ his money. haha). I told him to just park in front of our neighbor's, because I was late already. He starts screaming about needing to run the extention cord, blah blah, so I figured, fine, I'll back my car into the other space. So I open my door and he starts in on how I'm a fucking slut and a cunt and etc. So I slammed my door and told him, "Well, I was going to move it, but as it turns out, I'm far too busy being a fucking cunt so, forget it." And made my way towards my boyfriend's. I heard him throw something at my car, and he punched it. I let him know that if there's any damage, I'm calling his insurance, my car is only a year old.

Half way around the corner, my mom calls and begs me to move my car. So after a few choice words with her, I walk back. I pull the traffic cone out from under my car, he pulls it away from me and starts mumbling that I'm a fucking bitch and I should move my fucking car.

So I didn't. I left it there and went to my boyfriend's. He followed me half way there on his bike, yelling obscenities and threats.

Keep in mind, he very easily could have parked the VAN on the street, and worked in the driveway. He also is twice my size,and has been known to beat and throw things at me in the past.

i guess you had to be there because i have no clue how to decipherer this whole parking issue. your brother sounds like douche bag asshole though .

Philadelphia Row Houses. We can fit 2 cars in our driveways. There's typically room on the street for one in between every other house, and room for 3 in front of ours, because we're on a breezeway and have a front yard. Most of the families around here have between 2-4 cars, our redneck neighbors have 4 and a tow truck now, it seems, so parking is usually pretty tight.

And yeah, he has hit me in the past. He's dislocated my wrist as well. Lately he'll just throw heavy things at me.

The fact that you titled this thread "Was I wrong here?", and you're asking to make up an excuse for you, tells me that you are pretty sure that you were wrong. Otherwise, you would have titled this thread "Look what my douche bag, asshole brother said to me last night." But what the hell do I know?

Had he asked nicely, it wouldn't have been a problem. But just because he has anger issues and is a spoiled little brat, doesn't mean I have to hang my head and take it. He gets everything in the world he wants from my mom, he works less than 20 hours a week, and his daughter lives with us. That $1200 was his tax rebate from last year, and not a penny of it went to my parents for basically rasing his kid. I don't give a shit if he's bigger than me. I'm not about to let him intimidate me into being his slave.

And Frank - Trust me, he's offered, and if I weren't so sure he'd probably kill him in the process, I would let him. Plus, Seriously, what if I married him? I doubt my parents would get along with the guy who creamed my brother, even if it was in my honor. lol.

No, but he fucking acts like it. Same self-important me me me attitude, which is really fucking funny, because my parents aren't even close to being a little bit rich. My mom struggles w/ the bills. I help a LOT, more soon now that I'm making better money. He does not contribute. His tips at work (He delivers hogies) BARELY cover his car payment (He's on my parents' insurance) and the rest goes to stuff he wants. My mom buys the food, diapers and clothes for the baby.
