my girlfriend and I can't play monopoly together. I want to build houses and hotels and progress the game, but she's content to just circle around and around the board occasionally paying $16 for rent. Then I get called 'a jerk' or 'too competitive' when I start to build. :?

so we just stick to puzzles and strip yahtzee instead.

I like monopoly amonst drunk friends. You just got to be careful who gets assigned to be the banker. I hate people who cheat at board games. How pathetic does your life have to be where you can't stand to lose in monopoly and you have to cheat.

That's another one I like.

Back when I was a coke head it was marathon sessions of rummy, cribbage, and scrabble. And by marathon I mean 12+ hours.

Not necessarily. There are several message boards specifically for buying and trading game pieces to each other. You do have to eat a lot, but when I'm $100,000 richer I'm pretty sure I can afford a tummy tuck.
