ceebs' family has been picking apples for three generations. here's a picture of grandpa ceebs picking apples in 1938, at the height of the Great Depression:



for every six bushels he picked, he got to keep one apple to feed himself and his family. hard times indeed, friends.

every year, at the beginning of apple picking season, ceebs goes through the same orchards his grandfather once toiled away in, and tries to pick up chicks:
