i agree with that statement i think i have gotten a little better since i was younger, at least now i will say hi to someone i don't know (i used to not even be able to do that) but not much cause i am extrememly self-conscious as well
can you look people in the eye when you talk to them?

i used to be bad at this. i can do it now, cause i realized that if you keep your eyes locked you control the situation degree. i learned this when i bumped into a mexican guy at a bar. he turned to me and said "what the fuck man?" i just stared him in the eyes and said, "i'm just grabbing a beer. sorry" i just looked him in the eyes and didn't look away. he calmed down and turned away. so i learned what its good for. its still hard to do on dates for longer than a few seconds. after watching deadwood i decided i was going to look away less cause Al Swearengen stares down everyone like this and its kinda bad ass
so in short "i'm getting better"
