So I took this stupid worthless Microsoft certification just so I can get paid a few extra bucks by the company... Of course they don't send my MCP ID#, so I have to go to tech support to ask them to get it for me. They're helpful enough and do that for me, but of course they don't send me the access code... I get that anyways with the "Get a New Access Code" link or something...and can't log in with that access code. I just sent them a fairly sarcastic email about it, and I can't wait for the response from the poor tech support person:

Quote:

Hey,

I can't get in the MCP site. It gives me this totally unintellible error:

Error: Problem in registration of your profile. Error calling PrepareCustomerMerge: Zero or more then one customer was found for the specified search criteria ErrorCode:0x8110FFFE ID:{12BA458A-85FB-4F7E-837F-8B72D1CF3372} Host:[207.46.197.80]., please contact Customer Services Representative for assistance.

Poor usage notwithstanding, I thought I'd heed the warning's advice and follow the Customer Services [sic] link, but it brought me to some training site without any obvious information regarding customer service. And the "Contact Us" link led to a "Page Not Found."

Quote:
Please note that the MCP and MCT Member sites have upgraded the logon authentication technology to Microsoft Passport.

If you could provide any more assistance in logging on, I would greatly appreciate it. And at this point, downgrading the logon authentication technology to something that works seems like something you might consider. ;)

Thanks,
Jeremy

Now the hilarious irony in this is the fact that this web site is for people who have passed an exam signifying that they know how to leverage microsoft technology, and that test contains plenty of questions about security and authentication in microsoft .net applications, but their own people clearly don't understand how to correctly leverage those technologies. If that ridiculous error was enough, get this:

Their website cannot even figure out whether I'm authenticated... I should've included that in the email, huh?
