what do you think about guys who get highlights/color their hair? I've been getting highlights for the last 2 years, and obviously like the way they look. they're subtle, though. I have brown hair and usually put in reddish/blondeish streaks. I'm bringing this up because a co-worker of mine yesterday told me that I should get rid of them since every guy she knows that gets highlights has turned out to be gay, not that I have a problem with gays, because I don't. and she didn't mean it in a disparaging way toward gays or anything, just that it leaves a certain impresssion that I may not want others to get. but shit like that doesn't concern me all that much--I like the way they look. they give my hair character and look great in the sun.

I was just curious what others think.

i think the key is subtlety..if it looks natural and doesn't scream at you, highlights can bring more attention to someone's face or just make them look brighter..again, must be subtle, imo

Randall, between your post in The Hip thread and this one about hair highlighting being gay really makes me seriously question your right to have an opinion.

But yeah, I'm going in for highlights/coloring/bleaching/whatever it's called in a couple of days. Fuck it.

And for the record, Cobain's hair was bleached as fuck and nobody questioned him.

Edit: He also wore dresses onstage. And talked about his feminine side. And had empathy for women. And married a woman someone with personality disorder wouldn't fuck. And he had highlights. And he wasn't a gayer? :wink:
