JJ,
Hey man! Thanks for the mention. I truly miss The Utah and SF. Hopefully I can visit not too long from now.
I am not going to Iraq! I'm free from the Army for now. They sent me to South Carolina to prepare for deployment and a doctor deemed me unfit for deployment because of my ankle (the one I broke in September). It's funny, had I not taken the cast off before I was supposed to it'd probably have been healed by now and I'd be going to Iraq.
I'd update it all on myspace but the computers here won't let me access the site.
Hope mostly all's well with you.
Your friend, Jon Tree

Hi Jon- Hey, in the immortal words of Andy Mason: what's shakin Dr.? I don't know how to answer that... except to say that this week's feature at the ol' utah is the accordion player extraordinaire - Space Cat! And I don't know why he's called the Space Cat. Space is reserved for asteroids, astronauts, and three quarrelsome pigs. Unless he's vying to be the first cat in space, in the Sammy Davis Jr. sense of the word cat. Yeah, Space Cat strikes me as one whimsical musician with the accordion and the tunes that would be right at home on Broadway perhaps in a musical production of Moby Dick. I find his tunes typically touch on the absurd and the fantastic and they never fail to bring a smile to my face. He plays some wicked good accordion, some piano, and its gonna be a great feature. hey for more info on space cat, have a look here: http://theutah.org/artist/spacecat
There's another installment of our Beer Drinkin' Acoustic series going on this wednesday night at the utah. We've got Corey Hennessy, me, The Jonah Kit, and The Potholder on the bill. As always, the music starts at 8:30pm and its $5 (cheap!)
