Often find myself not sure where to put a thread when I'm looking for some intelligent debate and also a half of general buffoonery.

That's the problem with message boards. Too many types of discussions are categorized. That makes it hard to toss in a bit of buffoonery into a serious debate.

I'm still looking for a message board that ONLY has a general discussion section. lol... I haven't found one yet.

I signed up for a new board that's got a lot of rules. But the rules are in place for very important reasons. I'll just call it a "technology" forum. There's a 2 week mandatory "lurking" period.
