i am new to this website and have spent a few months on the pearl jam message pit.
being a new fan, i have found the message pit hypocritical. the most disturbing aspect of the message pit is their over bearing attitude of "pearl jam can make no mistakes." there seems to be a few good people over there with a mature attitude, but they are in the minority. granted i have only been around for a brief time.
another thing, their is someone on the pj site that calls them "pearligious". i like the term.
on one hand the pealigious say "abortion is the best" and on the other hand they say "if you scalp your ticket you should be disembowled."
strange indeed.
i know how sensitive people are to the abortion topic, so i just wanted to make it clear that i am confused on the idea of abortion. if i were to become pregnant by an evil act, i would have an abortion.

okay. actually i pretty much feel the same way. be forewarned though that it's popular to think the whole album is garbage.

to answer your question, some people here do think their post count effects their status, but it's more indirectly than over there. make sure you never try to start a serious discussion in this forum. if you have something you want discussed, take it to news and debate if you want serious answers
