as my good friend, the philosopher dash, points out, mental age surely plays a part. physical ability doesn't necessarily correlate with age, either. some 70 year olds get around just as fine as me. how much does a number really mean? is 23 any different than 24, in essence? 27 and 28? 67 and 68? 44 and 43? just constructs.

i think what counts most is open mindedness and spirit. i've known 21 year olds who think they have it all figured out and 40 year olds who are just starting their life anew.
