I've been down there before.

I had lunch at a Popeye's chicken, and got the wrong order. I took my order back up to the counter and tried to explain, and I was pretty much told that what I got was what I ordered. The lady didn't bother looking at the receipt or checking my tray. The lady just leaned over the counter and said to me very sternly,.... "that's what you awdered..."

I thought she was going to beat my ass.

there are still plenty of people with the "good ol' boy" personality living down here in NC. even though i'm towards the city, every once in awhile you do run into some ass backward people who are ignorant both in general intelligence and also in their political views. luckily the younger people seem to be changing.

Some younger people seem to be changing. You'd think on a major college campus people would be intellectually aware, but there were people that I knew that legitimately thought Sarah Palin was a good choice for VP. It's just sad to see young people with such little empathy for others and such high amounts of greed when they've inherited both their money and values from their parents.
