Seriously, Vitalogy is a great album. It always has been and always will be. Every track on it is perfect and flow seamlessly together. I love that two of the most pessimistic songs are two of the most uplifting melodies. I think my problem with the band stemmed from listening waaaay too much in the early 00's. Everything just got stale and played out. It's weird that I listened solidly to this band from like 1995 through 2004 and I'm again rediscovering them. Does anyone know any good message boards to join?

I love No Code. Sometimes>Hail, Hail>Who You Are>In My Tree>Smile is quite a solid quintet when confronted. For all the experimental praise that No Code gets, it's still no Vitalogy. You just can't beat Bugs>Betterman>Aye Davanita>Immortality>Stupid Mop to close out an album in a weird, creepy, experimental way.

i love how perfectly sometimes fades out and on the exact downbeat that the soft, somewhat peaceful "sometimes" ends we get the hard, abrasive downbeat of hail, hail. the juxtaposition is brilliance

I've always thought of Sometimes as the rumbling thunderstorm building up miles away with Hail, Hail being the sudden lightning strike right in your backyard with the storm on top of you. The thunder sound effects in the background of Sometimes help this imagery out.

Yeah but unless it's the right before the first of the month I generally have less than $200 in my bank account. I'm a very poor person and will stay that way until I finish school, which at this rate looks bleak.
