As soon as I started using my friend's computer today problems started with this fake antivirus program. I'm lucky I can visit this site right now without a bunch of pages popping up. I used spyhunter, but to remove the program with it I need to buy spyhunter. I can't do that, and it isn't my computer anyway.

Does anyone have steps to remove this?

Thank you.:) And I tried visiting sites like that before, but it's like the virus knows and starts popping up a billion pages. Is it possible to cut and paste?

Copying and pasting the manual way to do it might prove useless if you need the tutorials on how to get through each step but here goes:

Actually, first, here's a direct link to a removal software that the people at yahoo answers were impressed with:

Thanks chud and cono. I think I may have gotten it by looking for the files on my own (because as chud said those instructions weren't that helpful with c&p) and using CCleaner. I'm going to run another scan and maybe do what cono suggested as well.

you should do what i said first actually. just removing it now and not having done what i said probably will make everything reappear on next reboot.

Yep, getting rid of a trojan while the trojan is still running doesn't really work.

Yep. That's exactly why I got a mac. I can watch porn with peace of mind.

I've already rebooted and nothing is there, but to be safe I'll do this too.

I don't think you have to watch porn to get viruses. I wasn't. Then again maybe it was my friend's fault or her dad's fault.
