I've been thinking of starting a twitter account. I just hope I have something to say.

I tweet but I usually just tweet stupid shit.

At the time I was living in LA and getting oh so desperate, to the point where I actually picked up one of those "alternative papers" or whatever you call it in some liquor store, with all the various ads for phone sex, nude modeling and escorts. I couldn't believe I was actually doing this, but like I said, I felt like I was at my wit's end. I called one of the girls, and set it up. It was only $150 for 2 hours I think it was, so I was thinking shit, that's incredible. I should've known this would all go bad right from the start when she said she'd be at my apartment in 20 minutes, and it took her about 70 minutes. It was NOT the girl from the ad (gee), though this girl was still quite cute, and she made no acknowledgment in regards to being ridiculously late, and actually even first went to the house next door to me, and I was even casually sort of pacing out front on my sidewalk looking out for her. She also came with a driver who was walking with her. The idea being he'd present her to me, then she'd come in and he'd go out and wait in the car.

Well, the biggest horrible sign happened once we started talking. Just goes to show you how incredibly naive I was to this sort of world. The $150 was merely to get her walking in the door, for ANYTHING past that, it was more money -- LOTS more money. She's talking to me about she's sometimes gotten upwards of almost $1000 for a single visit. So at this point I'm quietly panicking, because I've gone this far, and want this to happen to bad, that I just get stupid. I should've right then and there said I apologize, I completely misunderstood this situation, you keep the $150 and you can go right now, I won't take up any more of your time. But no, of course I didn't do that
I convince her to take $300 more from me, even though it wasn't necessarily even from that what exactly we'd be doing (not that I wanted to do anything weird or kinky anyway, I mean I'm not even into anal), but I need to go to my bank for that. So we take a drive in the car she came in with the dude to my ATM, I get out the maximum I can, $300. We return back to my place. She comes inside, we talk a little bit more, I ask her about any special outfits she might have, and I've got a big thing for the catholic schoolgirl outfit, she says she has it out in the car. She goes to get it.

I imagine a good many of you see where this is going.

So I sit there patiently, barely able to contain my excitement at what was on the horizon. I suppose I was so wrapped up in my anticipation, it didn't occur to me for awhile how much time was passing. I think maybe by 15 minutes, I got up and walked back into our car park area. Let's all say it together -- THEY WERE GONE. And retarded me, I'm so pissed off I actually call up the service again, as if anything I say will be taken seriously, and I'll wind up feeling I "got something" from the conversation. Though in retrospect it was kinda funny to hear the girl total bumble on the phone, because I called the same exact #, and of course the concept is this is supposed to be the girl that comes to you, but like I said it wasn't. And so her trying to think on her feet of something to say when I confront her with the fact of gee, how can she be there answering the phone when she was just at my place. In fact at one point she just up and gave the phone to the pimp. After a couple minutes I just gave up.

I felt humiliated. I'd had $450 stolen from me (thankfully back then, my job was such that losing this didn't totally cripple me or anything), and I sat there and cried. Then I called my closest female friend back on the east coast here to tell her about (mind you at this point it was like 3:30am in Philly).

I tweet but I usually just tweet stupid shit.

I'm pretty sure this is what Twitter is designed for.
