So my 18th birthday is Monday and most of my presents have been money as usual. However, my great uncle recently died, and his wife gave me his car for my birthday, for free. It's a 1998 Ford Taurus, so it's obviously not the best car in the world, but I need some wheels so I'm feeling pretty good. Plus the whole free part means I can save my money for college tuition.
Oh, and it's black, the color I wanted my car to be.

3.0 V6 is a huge engine for our standards, I would hate how much gas an engine like that consume. A 1.4 V4 engine already deliveries all the speed you need in a city.

my first car was a 96 mercury sable (aka the same thing) and i loved that thing. my sister destroyed it in a wreck, but man oh man, i wish i still had it. take care of it jammster. i agree, black is the coolest color for a vehicle. thats the color my dodge dakota is.

Congratulations! I got my first own car when I was over 30 already, and I still have it. It's from 1998 as well and I got it in 2001. Drive safely and happily
groetjes, Mirella

my first car was handed down to me from my parents, a 1988 black ford taurus.
i was an asshole of a driver and totaled it six months later. wanna talk about spending money? i went from being under my parents' relatively cheap insurance to being kicked off, having to buy my own new car, then dropping $4,000 a year on car insurance.
just a head's up, jammer. drive safely, it's worth it.
