Apparently I'm the only person in my department idiot enough to come into work today, including my boss. Everyone else was afraid of the snow.

Pussies. In my day we'd get 18 inches of snow overnight and still have to walk 18 miles to school in the morning.

better to be an "office loser" than an "unemployed loser".

they fired somebody today at work for a couple of reasons:

a) economics

&

b) job performance



i think using economics as a reason was a cop out but nevertheless...the guy was a fuck up anyway and we had to get rid of him. the mention of company money getting tight did paint a pretty bleak picture for the rest of us still working here though... :(
