I think it's underrated. There are a few reasons that this beard deserves a second look, which I will enumerate shortly. In the meantime, look at the above picture and observe very closely the beard in question.

Ready?

OK, here we go.

1) What this beard lacks in surface coverage area, it more than makes up for in heft. It's not an exceedingly bushy, Santa-type beard, but it has ample thickness and little to no patchiness. The length is just enough to provide an impenetrable "canopy" of hair in which skin underneath is not visible. The jungle test can be applied to beards. For example, a patchy, non-existent beard is Savannah-like. A Mecca beard is like a rain forest. This beard, due to its moderate density, is a temperate, deciduous forest. This test must be applied in order to properly judge a beard.

2) An advantage to the lack of surface area: Pleasant beard rides. Notice the area around the lips, specifically below the lips. This hair-free zone allows for beard rides with minimal follicular obstruction. Mickey's sister has highly recommended this particular beard ride and one could say she is an authority on the subject.

3) Please note the color of the beard. Many light-haired individuals have beards that are darker and of a different texture than the head hair. This beard, however, is remarkably consistent with the head hair. The creamy orange hue with a slight translucence is not only consistent on the entire head, but also adds a compliment to the Irish-tinged epidermal layer.

Overall, I would give it a 7.6.

LOL. I agree.

Though my beard is better, and similar in it's characteristics. Though mine covers more under my lips.

I tried it for a week. The problem is my beard comes out really uneven, so I just look like I have some sort of skin condition. I shaved it off today because I wanted to look decent for the weekend.
