I had it this weekend.

started around 3pm Friday and didn't stop until around 5am this morning.
I haven't gotten one in almost a year. It was intense. and not in a good way.

have you told your doc?

nah. It's hereditary. 2 of my three sisters gets them as bad as I had this weekend except every couple of weeks or so, and my mom used to get them probably as often.

I don't usually get floored by them the way my siblings do though- I just deal with them until I go to sleep and they're mostly gone by the morning.

Really there's very little you can do about them most of the time- my one sister has gone through a boatload of different medications and changes in her diet etc to avoid them and really nothing really makes them stop.
She just goes to bed for a couple days until they let up.

This is the first time I felt like that though.

sometimes you can stop it early with painkillers before it develops into a full blown migraine but man oh man- not this time.

Thankfully I've only ever had one of these suckas. I had no idea what was going on. I thought I was going to die!

I get headaches pretty regularly and have a fairly high tolerance level, but this floored me.

I can't even compare them to headaches. Maybe 1,000 headaches and being run over by a steamroller would come close.

time to bust out the morphine

Things I did this weekend:

sat.
slept on the couch.
ate soup.
watched tv with my eyes closed and the volume low.

that's about it.

I think someone needs a hug
