i think it was 1935, still weird to think one day, we'll be nothing more than memories and an inscription on stone.
and once those who knew you die, you won't even be a memory (unless you become famous)
that last part is the weirdest/scariest part. but i guess you just gotta live in the now.
yeah. i've dwelled on it plenty of times before...but you can't. you have to live each moment as if it were your last and just ignore what happens when you're gone

i dunno, those god/heaven disussions are pretty sweet though. n&d would lose a lot without them for me.

well i meant for me personally. during my darkest times a lot of it was because of the idea that nothing happens when we die (which i still believe) and for a person like me who never wants kids i just didn't see the point of even really "trying" because inevitably it'll all be irrelevant how much you succeed in life or how much money you bank or etc. i still feel this way, but it doesn't dominate my life anymore

it's a tough feeling to overcome for sure. the whole concept is very bleak... but even though i do believe in an afterlife, it has very little to do with how i live my life, except for occasionally hoping to see my relatives there when i pass on(and sometimes saying a few words to them), but also knowing that that's a long time away.
are you a fan of any philosophy? not god related necessarily, but just in relation to life in general.

Is 'cremation' a philosophy?
