So my chasing partner and I were out trying to track down fast-moving cells in Northwestern Kansas around Hill City, and we attempted to track one down on the dirt roads north of I-70. Lo and behold, the thing takes a western turn and, of course, gets away from us just as a large wedge is reported on the ground. Disappointed, we stop so I can take a squirt before turning around for WaKeeney and nearly getting blown away by what I thought was the second tornado of the day for me, and as I was wiggling the final drops away I see a wall cloud off in a distance with an inflow tail and what looked like a funnel. I grab my video camera and return to the spot, thinking it would be gone, but it was still there. It certainly didn't look like a wedge to me, but I filmed it anyway and promptly forgot about it until I was cleaning out my recordings yesterday.

I posted it on the chasing forums and found out it was a secondary "pin-needle" tornado that was on the ground at the same time as the wedge was getting rain-wrapped and occluding (dissipating). It's at least five miles away, but the funnel aloft and debris cloud on the ground can be seen just right of the center of the frame
