You know, I vaguely recognized that lyric and mistook it for a verse in Dylan's "It's alright ma, I'm only bleeding" so I sung it to that tune in my head. It totally fits the lyrics and the meter. Weird.
What's weirder is that the lyrics rang a bell and I'm not a rush fan at all.

well, certainly most people have heard tom sawyer even if they aren't rush fans (although they wouldn't know the lyrics).
i can't say i'm big on dylan though, i'll have to give that song a listen sometime
