Guys, are there any decent earbud type headphones out there? The ones that came with mp3 player are okay, but they only sound good if I apply pressure. Also, my right ear must be deformed because the friggin' thing won't stay in, no matter what I do. I was just about to jam the thing in there with a screwdriver. Any help is appreciated.

I have that exact problem with my right ear. It's fucking infuriating. I really hate earbud headphones though.

I've never tried Skullcandy. We sell them at my job, and a lot of people buy them. That's it.

Earbud headphones always fall out of my ears too. I find that inner ear monitors stay in a lot better because they actually go inside your ear.

Those can't be good for your ears, though.

I like Stax Electrostatics headphone. The widest frequency range. The lowest colouration. The widest dynamic range. The lowest distortion. The "outside of the head" imaging. The closest approach to the original sound. The loudest sound with no distortion. But unfortunately it is most expensive.

I loathe earbuds. After about 20 minutes, my ears hurt.

I only use headphones that completely surround the ear (not pressed onto it). And I guess there's a debate about closed cans versus open cans (airflow closed off between the inside of the headphones or not), but I guess I'm not enough of an audiophile to really notice a difference. I like how the open cans allow me to hear what else is going on (to some extent, depending on volume), but then I also like how the closed cans keep me from hearing what else is going on...

Yeah, I have a decent pair of the over ear style headphones. I need something smaller for biking, hiking, and such. I'm going to try some Skullcandy, I guess.
