This thread only applies to those of you that carry backpacks (as opposed to messenger bags, briefcases, totes, etc). Do you guys use both straps or just one strap?
I've found that the way I carry mine depends mostly on what I am wearing. If I have on shorts and a t-shirt, I mostly go with two straps, but on days like today when I wore jeans and an untucked button-down, I went with the one strap look. It seems to me that the one-strap look gives off a more "academic" appearance to observers, while the two-strap look advertises your youthful, schoolboy side to the world. Thoughts?

I usually go double strap regardless of what I'm wearing, unless it's really cold and then it's just one strap, but only because its hard to wear both straps comfortably with multiple layers on. Of course, it's only "really cold" for about a day and a half here, and in any case I usually use my messenger bag.

I asked around and everybody in my family stands except for my sister, but that's probably 'cause she's a girl. My dad was initially shocked at the notion that any male would remain seated for the wiping, but thought about it a little and decided he'll try it out and come back to me with a full report. I'm still not doing it.
