will you be taking on any debt to fund these pursuits, Gods' Die?

I will be, yes, but not a lot. I owe less than $10k from undergrad, and I plan on getting a good amount of aid and scholarships for grad school.

My (very serious) girlfriend really wants me to, and she also makes a very good paycheck. Better question I guess would be "Should I lock that down?".

If you change business degree to law degree, I'd say you were Kima from the Wire.

I sure hope so. Like Mick, I'd like to be admitted to a fully funded program. But I'm probably two to three years away from that point.

Plus $160 for the GRE. Plus transcript and test score fees. Goddamnit.

FWIW, I'm much more prepared for grad school after spending a few years out of school.

I'd have to google it.

Yeah I'm weighing not-being-ready with well-what-the-fuck-else-should-I-do.

I'm with Coach for the most part. Decent advice there. If you can get it all paid for then do it but don't take out a bunch of students loans you will probably never be able to pay off. You can never default on student loans even if you file bankruptcy. At least I'm pretty sure thats the case.

I felt that way too, and I found in general that people who had taken some time off didn't do better per se, but they were less stressed about the experience overall.

That's based on my own experience only, however

I've figured out the ten schools I'm applying to. Maybe.

I found this to be the case as well. The only downfall is that because I didn't push through, it is no longer my only focus which means it's slower going than I'd like. Work, family, et cetera.

I've kind of come to terms with that. On one hand, this degree isn't a means to an end so much as a chance to spend three years writing. On top of that, I have another degree to get after this, so it's not like I won't have a chance to step back and get some perspective before diving into a career.

I see. Good luck. I'm not looking forward to being in that situation a year from now.
