1. washing_machine - In what has been labeled both "one of the most bullsh*t bans ever" and "a deliberate obstruction of board rules," one of RM's most famous and long-lived posters has been suspended. The phallus that did him is in burned in the minds of many. Some didn't witness it. Some have only a vague idea of what it was. But we all know what it represents: a ticket to the Ban-train. His tenure was not all ignomy, however. He was able to force a new RM Interview thread. No small feat. But with great power comes great responsibility. And he faced the consequences. And those consequences will never be the same.

2. malice - One door closes and another opens. Shortly after one juggernaut's departure, we receive a surprise visit from another legend. She showed up for a brief moment of motherly judgment and faded back into obscurity.

3. tree_ - A spate of nonsensical threads in General Discussion brought him further notoriety, but did it hinder his appeal to the public? Do we only want the wistful ruminations, the war stories, the heartbreak, the trauma, the agony, the bliss? Do we wish for him to cast aside the .jpegs of sharks eating children in ball pits? How do we like our tree_? Open and yearning… or hidden, shaded, and absurd?

4. Dev – Controversy strikes again. His “Do any of you actually have any black friends?” thread reopens a common font of barely-suppressed racial insensitivity at Red Mosquito. A visit from Malice, sharing some of the aforementioned maternal disapproval, brought elevated profile to the risky thread. Resolution to the touchy discussion remains to be seen.

5. Spike – His consistency is rewarded. In a list often influenced by seismic events and notable departures/arrivals, posters such as Spike often fare poorly. Not this week. A dogged commitment to board quality and a team-player attitude lifts him to the 5-spot.

6. Patrick Bateman – The originator of the “Mignon, Mignon” has seen the Frankenstein-like beast transform before his big, piercing eyes. Moved beyond video and into .jpeg format, the farting-and-winking beaver continues make inroads in General Discussion.

7. E.H. Ruddock – Amid threads extolling the value of farts, poop, puke, and underage relations, Ruddock emerges as a paragon of mortal virtue. His tale of heroism in the seizure thread portrays a man willing to help when help is needed. Such altruism can’t be taught very easily.

8. EllisEamos – Another recipient of a “Where is____?” thread, Eamos’ whereabouts remain a mystery. Unlike lenny’s absence weeks prior, it does not appear that any poster knows where he is. His continued absence can only be fomented until he returns. Since his abrupt departure, the “Random Picture Thread” continues to suffer.

9. Skitch Patterson – He dropped the following gem in Pearl Jam Chat: “pulled pork is a form of barbecue haunted by ghosts it cannot name or see.” Such a slick amalgam of Pearl Jam-related content with General Discussion sensibilities.
