I got four hours of sleep and have spent the last two hours filling out envelopes for letters of rec for grad programs I have a 96% chance of not getting in to and now this alaskadan mthrfkkr is fkkn with my thread in A&E TRYING TO TAKE ON THE LITERATI OH SHIT so yeah I know how you feel except not really because I've got My Bloody Valentine going at work right now.

The German have a word for this (songs getting stuck in your head)-- ohrwurm, later anglicized as "earworm". I've also heard it referred to as a "cognitive itch", which I really like.
