Does anyone have a website/process they can recommend for tracking flights and prices?
I know that some companies offer this service but I don't know exactly which.
I'd like to choose a few destinations that I would like to visit next year and receive real-time alerts for when a flight becomes available at/under a certain price that I set.
I'm sure some of you have done this before, so...where do I go?

Orbitz or Expedia is a good place to get an idea of prices. Sometimes you can get a little better deal directly through the carrier's site and those are certainly easier to make changes down the road if need be. If you do buy from outside of an airline directly try to get the same carrier both outbound and return. Fares do vary widely and are constantly changing. Check on bags fees before you buy. If you do buy a name-your price site like Hotwire or Priceline those tickets are essentially sold as is. They're fine if you don't have to make any changes but good luck with that if you do once purchased.
