t2b, do you do any weight lifting/core exercises?

I usually do my "vanity" workout when I do treadmill work. Planks (both regular and side), sit-ups, push-ups, curls of some sort and lat pull-downs. Sometimes I'll substitute a swim for this, but my current gym has a shitty pool.
I wish you would actually post your runs/workouts.

i should consider doing some vanity planks sometime.

how far/long do you swim, when you have access to a good pool? i really wanted to incorporate more swimming into my routine, but i am not a gifted swimmer.

I usually do a mile or 34 laps (most pools are 25 feet not meters) in the pool. Usually takes me about 30 minutes. I'll occasionally say fuck counting laps and just swim for 45 minutes to an hour.

i usually doggy-paddle in place for 20 seconds

You must be a triathlete.

my quoit game is stellar and i'm no cornhole slouch

10 miles in 76 minutes

Couldn't sleep, so I hit the canals at 3 a.m. Pretty damn cold out (for PHX anyway), so I ran in a long-sleeve shirt and knit gloves. Felt miserably slow for the first couple of miles as my legs warmed up. Hit the turnaround in 38 and was pretty confident in a negative split. But fatigue took hold with a couple of miles left and I had nothing in the tank for a sprint finish. Home in 76. Should have brought music with me. Disappointing run. Punishment is necessary.

10 miles in 78 minutes

Legs were sore, but I needed to be punished. Daughter in the running stroller with '80s pop on Pandora. Heard two different versions of "I Think We're Alone Now" while on the run. 40 out. 38 back. Shit run, but managed to put in 30 miles this week. Better than the goose egg I posted last week.

 And sorry, but 44 miles a week means you're already a runner.

Yeah, I'm definitely a runner and I don't usually do 40 miles a week.

Hell, in the winter, I don't usually do 30.
