And it is miserable! I'm probably living 1/10th of the lifestyle this lady is, and it's really really lonely! I'm lucky, because I can get up and make myself a snack if I want one, my friends and parents are still alive, etc, but living in this flat, I'm starting to have a *tiny* understanding of what it must feel like to be old. So you know, always make sure you visit your grandparents regularly.

wait, what's your definition of old?
When I've lost the will to live
That was my dry sense of humour. I meant, I've done shift work before, but living with someone, waiting for visitors, carefully counting the pennies when you go shopping, I really feel for old folks. I always have done, but even more so now.
