Anything good in this town besides the Dali museum? I'm going to be there in late February. Looking for dining suggestions, which beaches to visit/steer clear of, etc.

Good concerts are often held at some of the smaller clubs and venues. And there's Jannus.

Check out the Wildwood Restaurant at The Post Card Inn at St. Pete Beach. Real laid back place with good food.

St. Pete Beach is really nice, too.

Wrong. But yeah, try Tampa too.

Also wrong. Unless you like buttrock.

I'm more of a north county guy, but I'll do what I can here. The Dali is a must. Check out the pier and St. Pete Beach, both very nice, although somewhat touristy. Don't bother going up to Clearwater beach, it won't be worth the drive. If you're looking for something really quiet, Reddington beach is gorgeous and very hidden. St. Pete itself is kind of a cool little city and you could spend some time just wandering around the downtown. You really should head over to Tampa, if nothing else then to see Ybor City--only during the day though, when the historic Cuban restaurants are open. At night it's douche-central. One of the best restaurants in the general area, although not really in St. Pete, is Cafe Ponte on Ulmerton. Google it. Depending on where you're staying, it might be worth the drive. This might not be helpful at all, dunno.

I wish I had met Mickey the last time I was in Miami, he would take me to nice restaurants and make me cum 5 or more times later.

Got back yesterday. We spent the first night in Clearwater. What a fucking shithole. The city motto should be Welcome to Clearwater: WHOOOOOO!!. Nothing but frat boys and other assorted jackasses.

We spent the rest of the trip in downtown St Petersburg, which was very nice. Very laid back little city. We were only there for 4 days (including the wasted first night) so we didn't end up venturing over to Tampa.

you needed to go to Honeymoon Island. Its a big state park. pretty private. nice beach. no frat fags but still hotties all over. You'll see wildlife too. You can go swim with dolphins if you know where to go.

and seriously mickey.. St. pete is pretty rundown. Yes, there are some very very nice parts. But their are serious crime problems. Look how many cops have been killed recently.
