I have been trying to get rid of lots of old possessions recently... old books, photos, tapes, etc. Memories that have accumulated over decades. For some reason I feel the need to examine and reminisce about every damn thing in every damn box. Any one else have trouble letting go of old stuff?

and here I thought this thread was going to be was some further shot at me...
anyway- yeah- I spent the weekend cleaning and getting rid of old stuff and began to wonder why in the hell I had kept some of it for as long as I had... I decided that much of it meant something to me for however long I kept it (in some cases it's been more than 20 years) and now it just doesn't hold that meaning for me anymore, or more accurately- the person it meant something to isn't me anymore.
couple more years and I won't have a fucking clue who I am at all. aging is a load of fun
