So I learned from a friend that my ex-girlfriend who I used to smoke weed with all the time is now "being responsible" and has stopped smoking weed because that's "being responsible".
That's all fine and dandy. but she continues to drink on a regular basis. Very smart, considering alcohol is really low in calories and has no chance of addiction, and is so much safer than smoking weed, especially for someone who's underage.

I am mad, but this is an argument that goes beyond my petty squabbles. I HATE when people give weed smokers the evil eye and then go and get smashed and act like they're any better. It's uber hypocritical.

Yeah, that is hypocritical, but maybe she's working on becoming resposible. Maybe she doesn't want to jump head first into responsibility, and is slowly giving up the things she considers to be irresponsible.
I don't really know though, and I wouldn't claim to, having done neither myself.

From what I know of her, she's probably been pressured by the laws of society into thinking that drinking is somehow better than weed. And I'm willing to bet it's a sleight at me too. Anyways, I'm bitter.

You know, I can't see not doing something in order to slight one of my exes. That's like cutting off my nose to spite my face.
It sounds like you're probably better off without her, even if it doesn't feel that way. You're a nice guy. I'm sure you'll find a wonderfully non-hypocritical chick soon.

Well I hated her before we "broke up" (long story) but she's definitely grown in stupid-bitchitude since then.
