The purpose of these threads is to take the time and go back and read to the Red Mosquito threads you remember but haven't sat down with in a long time. What did you think? Is it what you remembered? Give the thread a read and talk about it.

This thread is a classic example of what can happen when a perfect storm of posting personalities meet up and discuss something controversial and banal at the same time. It appears as though Parchy's words in the OP were misconstrued to an extent, but I think that it's clear to an outsider that there was a deep superiority complex behind his premise, one that is buried so deep that he doesn't even realize it's there.

A fun little aside that I enjoyed in this thread was the back and forth about the "rareness" and pronunciation of the IDM band/artist Autechre. It's moments like those that really shine in threads like this.
