So it's 9/16 and my roommate Kraemer has turned 21. It's a Thursday night and we want to celebrate so we get a quarter barrel and invite a select group of about 20-25 friends. That number exploded later on, but that isn't the point.
Anyway, things are going great. For those that don't know, I go to Marquette and am a junior. We have a house that is about 20 feet away from one of the school's dorms, an all freshman guys dorm.
So anyway, the party is going on, people are getting drunk. We've got the 1/4 barrel of Bud (not my choice, but then again, not my money), shots and I was drinking my bottles of Michelob and High Life because as we all know, Budweiser is swill.
It's probably about 11 and I was outside relieving myself on my neighbors' porch. They'd had numerous parties over the summer and their kitchen is directly across from my bedroom and there about 6 feet between houses. I was awake until 3am or later 3 nights a week at least during the summer, so I felt as though I owed them a thank-you for all the good times.
I finish up, put my piece away and get back onto our porch. A bunch of our friends are outside and half-joking about tipping this Jeep Grand Cheroke out front. I laugh and joke about it too, thinking they were kidding.
They weren't. They tried to tip it and got it up on 2 wheels before finally running back into our house.
That's when the police showed up. I was sitting on the front porch with my 32oz Stein of beer, enjoying it when the cops showed up. One comes up to me, asking if I live there and I say yes. He askes me if I'm 21 and I say no and so he grabs the stein out of my hand, pours it out and then THROWS IT like it was a fucking weapon. Asks me again if I was 21. I say no again and he asked why i was drinking. I explained it was my roommate's 21st birthday. He asked me a third time for ID and I tell him that I don't have anythning that says I'm 21 so he told me to go inside and get someone that was.
Anyway, that got all cleared up and since it was the first time and there was someone who was 21 and we didn't charge people, they couldn't fine us or arrest us. However, they said, next time it would be different.
Then we got a call from our Landlords about a week later saying that the President of Marquette and the Dean of Residence Life both called and were VERY upset about what happened and they wanted us evicted. Luckily the landlords talked them out of it, but we had to write a big letter to them and Marquette. It wasn't cool and now we're in the doghouse.
