White, Pink, or Red. Fuck calling it brown. Pink doesn't make sense if you call red noise brown!

White is sound coming at you from a point, even if the point is more like a tube
Pink is a bigger tube, say like an underground pipe.

Red noise is just so soothing.

Brown noise and Red noise are the same thing. It makes more sense to call it Red noise because that's where pink comes from. Pink noise is mathematically halfway between white and red, which makes no sense if we call it brown noise.

I understand that, but the fact that it's also called Red noise is where the term Pink noise comes from, being halfway between white and red. So if you call it Brown noise then Pink noise no longer makes any sense!
