I can't complain. Life can sometimes seem like a sinking ship, but we must not forget to sing in the lifeboats.
That analogy doesn't make that much sense to me. If life is the ship and it's sinking, then what do the lifeboats represent if they are separate from the ship of life?

Well, I suppose I say that because the lifeboats analogy caused you to have more questions.
Forgive my px-esque phrasing here Shawna, but sometimes you just can't see the forest for the schticks.
This is pretty funny. So how's Texas?
I can't speak for the entire state, but my area is experiencing the best weather of the year right now. The governor's race is coming up and it looks like Democrat Bill White is trailing in the polls due to (can you believe this?) lack of negative ads towards his GOP opponent Rick Perry. If Perry wins, he will gain an unprecedented third term. :/ In sports, both NFL teams lost along with a handful of college teams. Houston just celebrated it's 34th Annual Greek Festival over the weekend, though my girlfriend and I skipped it in favor of lots of studying (me) and weekend workload (her).
Hmm..seems like it still doesn't pay to be nice to your opponent in politics. That speaks to the concept of competition as a whole, though. It's par for the course.
What sort of studying is it that has you skipping out on eating greek festival food?
