I'm trying to record a show, and watch a different show at the same time. My DVR is not letting me do this. Whatever I'm recording I have to watch, it sucks.

What do I need to do to make it work correctly?

I have 2 coax cables running into the back of the dvr to the SAT inputs, and then one going to the tv.

The 2 that run to SAT inputs come from a switch box in the basement, which has a led glowing green.

What am I missing?

Are you just recording one show?

I can't record two shows and try to watch a third on the TV that has the DVR. I can watch from another room, but I think that is how DirectTv works, though.

And TAF, I was just trying to watch something that I wasn't recording. I figured it out, I had to tell my Satelitte setup that I had 2 tuners. Went through the setup and it was all good.

Yeah man, hopefully the Hawks can turn this thing around....it's been a rough year.

I just switched to DirecTv. I've heard it's gotten better at keeping reception during bad weather, is that true?
