August 19th, 2008, Riverside Theater, Milwaukee, WI

Setlist:Sometimes, Trouble, Girl From the North Country, I Am Mine, Deadman, Man of the Hour, Setting Forth, No Ceiling, Guaranteed, Far Behind, Elderly Woman, Millworker, Soon Forget, Broken-Hearted, Gone, Rise, Driftin, You've got to hide your love away, Porch

1st Encore:Here's To the State, Blackbird, Forever Young, I Won't Back Down, Wishlist, Society w/ Liam, Throw Your Arms Around Me w/ Liam, No More, Arc

2nd Encore: Hard Sun w/ Liam and EJ

From stories posted this was probably the worst audience of the tour. One drunken fan with 10C seats was ejected. Eddie seemed pissed. At one point he fell off his stool onto the floor and lay there for a minute. Got up, did some pushups or something. After Hard Sun he seemed intent on quickly leaving. He told the DC II audience he knew the audience would suck and apparently it did.

the one dude who was dragged out was the source. had he not been there, this show would not have this reputation. yeah, some other people yelled out song titles, i love you eddie, and, inexplicably, the city's name, but the vast majority of people who spoke up were saying shut the fuck up to those douches.

i didn't think eddie's microphone knock down at the end of the show was one of particular anger. if he was so pissed why did he play 29 songs? seems like one of the longer shows of the tour. as far as i can tell, audience behavior only cost us goodbye. why the fuck people would want to see soon forget instead is beyond me.

if eddie thought milwaukee would suck, he should have played minneapolis instead.

well he definetly did change up the set list, he all but said so mid way through...
so maybe he was planning on something different? the new song?

BUT

Id also like to add, Ed did say he WAS NOT DRUNK
maybe thats why he was a lil more edgy? after small town he said something about how Milwaukee could actually sing... and then in a voice pretending to be us... "yeah that guy Eddie said we could really sing... and it was the first show of the tour he wasnt even drunk at"

so...

and who knows? maybe he was more mad because the security took so long to get the a-hole out?

One other thing I forgot to mention...
security at the door? wasnt checking anyone for anything other then "i need to see in the bag" to woman... I could have (if i was a bootlegger and im not so dont ask LOL) smuggled in a recording device in my pants pocket / inside of a shirt / where ever you bootleggers hide it... The only other concert I think ive ever been to in the last 5+ years that had that LITTLE of security at the door was Sleater-Kinney in Madison 05... that was so light on the Security about the only one stoping us from jumping on stage was Carries wild kicks and Janets beating of the drums... but yeah, so if there was a show that was able to be recorded, Mil was it... at least when I went through the doors...

At both nights in DC, they ran those handheld wands over people. First night, nothing, so they let me in. Second night, it beeped twice and they let me right in.

I'm sure there are recordings out there.

considering how hush hush / not allowed it is for this tour...

but it was definetly tape able at that venue...
at least when i went through the door, no pat down / magic wands / nothing
didnt even have to empty my pockets (which i had already done anyway assuming)
hell that might have been the biggest suprise of the night really for me...
as Ed seemed to hold the setlist back for the Chicago shows

I know he played it in DC on the second night. Not sure about elsewhere on this leg. I'm pretty sure he played it out west as well.

Pretty much summed up all the points I was going to make. The audience really wasn't as bad as what has been said. There were a couple douchebags in attendance but that's always going to happen.

I mentioned this in a different thread but Eddie acted like it was the first time anybody had shouted things in between songs. If he really wanted to stop people from yelling, just play a song.
