Not that great, but one of the few shows where I liked Fortunate Son.
Haven't heard that version, but the Fortunate Son cover is one I hope they won't be bringing back anytime soon. Love the CCR song, but I did not like PJs take on it.

The biggest surprise for me so far...I think I like Cropduster now. I have the Hamilton version (not sure if they played it more than that b/c I don't really follow the set list anymore) and it's the best version of the song I've ever heard. For not playing much, the band, really nails it.
Sydney 2003 is the best ever version...one of the earliest when the song was fresh...it's only gotten sloppier as time has passed, though Hamilton is the best version in a long time.
I think I may actually have that. I don't think I've listened to the Aussie 2003 shows since, 2004 or so.
That is a pretty good show. I dug it out tonight and started at Cropduster. There's a slight lyric change thats pretty cool, prefaced by some good banter. Rolls right into NAIS and Even Flow. If you're still paying attention by then, the Lukin>Not For You is rockin. I've love what Stone plays during Lukin, sounds so simple. And fuck me, there's a Light Years.
Oh, and Ed call's the Aussie PM Howard a prostitue.

09/19/11: Credit Union Center, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan main set: Interstellar Overdrive, Corduroy, All Night, Gods’ Dice, Got Some, In My Tree, Dissident, Untitled->MFC, Red Mosquito, Nothing As it Seems, Given To Fly, Do The Evolution, In the Moonlight, Black, Spin The Black Circle, Setting Forth, Not For You(/Modern Girl), Alive first encore: Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town, Just Breathe, Unthought Known, Even Flow, Better Man(/I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend) second encore: Running Back To Saskatoon, Why Go, The Fixer, Running Back To Saskatoon, Porch, Baba O’Riley, Yellow Ledbetter
What a show. The main set is absolutely stellar, and the encores, although not on par with THAT set, are still pretty great. I'm now onto Vancouver ("Porch" is sensational), and the same applies. This leg, to me, puts to bed a LOT of blanket-accusations about post-2000 live PJ ("they don't rehearse", "they don't challenge the crowd", "Mike isn't changing things up", etc). I really, really like "Setting Forth" too.
Unfortunately, the SA 2011 leg seems to return to 2008-2010 stretch of dramatic inconsistency (I haven't gotten past the Brazil shows), but that doesn't take away from this leg.
