Guess I'm the only one listening to boots.

Today: Bristow, VA 2003
Nice, 3 slow song opening. Then, it kicks in. Nice show 8 songs in...

It gets worse. Ed's voice goes to pot a little later into it.

11/6/95 San Diego, CA

Good show, but I think I've always liked the second night better.

2009-08-24 Chicago II

This was the first boot I purchased from the 2009 tour, based on setlist alone.

It's probably because I'm coming off the 2011 SA boots, but this show was MUCH better than I remembered it. Matt is on fire :nice:

We need a Pearl Jam confessions thread.

In most circles, still being into Pearl Jam is a confession unto itself.

Hamilton 2011

I haven't listed to a live show in a long time, but this show is great. The mix on the 2011 boots makes the band sound sooo much better than the last few years.

Hartford 2010.

As always concerning the 2010 US tour: Decent show but terrible mix.

night one is one of the more unique setlists i've seen in person. ed says at the start thet they have "a lot of emotion to get through" and the set speaks to that greatly. i've seen people complain it was an uneven set and sure, i can see that perspective. but it's one of the very few shows i've seen that you can tell significant thought went into the set choices and that there was a story being told. i really like this show because of it.

I agree. And I haven't gone back and listened to them at all recently (though I think I will now), but I do think both nights are standout 2008-2011 era Pearl Jam. I know that's faint praise, and the only shows I listen to more than once anymore are the ones I've attended, but I hope when I re-listen that these are as solid as I remember.

Manila '95 - Even Flow

I really love the alternate intro. No stop-and-start before the vocals start, and a backwards slide instead of the pull-offs.

Douche bag fan...
